How To Be Romantic - More Treasuring Notes

By Dave Pipitone

Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.

It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.

The next time you see your loved one, give her a carved wooden box, or a glass or ceramic box – something nice she can keep on her desk at work or on her dresser at home. When you leave again, start sending pretty colored construction paper or stationary, each with a numbered message.

Start at one and going up to 100 or whatever number you wish – each message number should be a reason why you love your wife or why you miss her, whichever you wish. For example, 'Reason Number 5: You are the cutest woman I’ve ever seen!'

You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
