Matchbook Romantic Tips For Men - The Matchbook Date

By Dave Pipitone

Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.

It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.

Stop at your favorite romantic restaurant or a new one you’d like to try and pick up a matchbook with their name on the front. In a brightly colored ink, write a romantic message, asking your wife to meet you at the restaurant at a certain date and time and then leave it where you know she will find it.

Be sure to leave the cover of the matchbook open so your wife will notice the brightly colored message peeking out at her. When the day arrives, get to the restaurant early and bring a flower, order a bottle of wine and get ready for some romance!

You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
