Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.

It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.

When you are out of town for a few days or longer, write a list of things you miss about your wife, OR things you love about your partner and mail it or email it to her. OR write these ‘things you love or miss’ on separate pieces of colored paper and mail one per day.

You can also tape a picture of yourself on the paper before you mail it, or simply cut a picture out of a magazine. Choose a picture that is calming, beautiful or peaceful, or one that depicts people in love, and send this along.

You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
