Romantic Ideas For Married Couples - Act as New Strangers
By Dave Pipitone
Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.
It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.
Pretend you and your wife are strangers, meeting for the first time in a restaurant or bookstore or on the street. Have an impromptu cup of coffee or glass of wine at a bistro and ask each other questions about your favorite things.
You can be truthful or make up outrageous stories about your life and background. Now go out for the evening or go home, as you wish and continue the charade. It may seem hard to get started, but your wife will love it once you both get used to the role-playing and, if you are truthful with your 'getting to know you' date, you may even find out some things about your wife you did not know.
You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
