Romantic Love - Carpe Diem - Seize the Day

By Dave Pipitone

Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.

It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.

Make or buy a daily or monthly calendar. On each block of the monthly calendar (or if you are ambitious, on every day of a daily calendar), write a love message or something to keep your wife going until you next see her. Have her read and mark off your messages every day until the next time you come home.

Then, draw a big HEART on the day you arrive home and keep track of the days you are there by drawing a heart for every day you are NOT AWAY. When you leave again, leave another set of messages for her to read every day on the calendar.

You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
