Romantic Love - Secret Admirer Rendezvous

By Dave Pipitone

Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.

It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.

Leave a note in your wife’s car or on her desk and tell her to meet a ‘secret admirer’ in a special location. It might be a location that only the two of you know or it could be a very public place. Tell her the hour to meet you, and tell her what to wear, if you’d like.

When she arrives, be prepared to take her for a walk, or to a favorite restaurant or just take her for a ride in the car to a place you both love to visit or walk. Put a cooler in the car and bring cheese, bread and wine or just some chocolate covered strawberries to share!

You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
