Romantic Things To Say - The Email Exchange

By Dave Pipitone

Romance in your marriage is a two-way street. If you are trying to revive some romance in your marriage, let your wife know what you are trying to do and enjoy the creative process together.

It is important to know your partner well enough to know whether your changed behavior will be a pleasant surprise OR just perceived as odd or unusual behavior.

Try 'exchanging' emails to finish sentences started by your wife. You start by writing something like “When I am away from you I feel…” and then ask her to finish the sentence and start another sentence and end it back to you. Now, it is your turn to finish HER sentence.

Keep going until you have an entire paragraph of sentences and thoughts of love. Print it out or make a special poster with the "conversation" that you can both look at when you are together.

You certainly don’t want to FORCE your wife to do anything she does not want to do! And, if you are really trying to put romance in your life and IF you are sensitive to your wife's preferences and desires, you should have no problem convincing her that you will both enjoy this process.
